Michael Mahoney Company Group Chairman ,
As Company Group Chairman, Michael Mahoney has global responsibility for DePuy's Orthopaedic, Spine, Trauma, Neurosurgery and Sports Medicine businesses. He is a member of the Johnson & Johnson Surgical Care Group Operating Committee.
Prior to joining DePuy, he served as chief executive officer of Global Healthcare Exchange (GHX), the leading electronic healthcare supply chain services business in the United States and Europe. Mr. Mahoney served as CEO of GHX for six years, during which he built the company through organic development and strategic acquisitions.
He joined GHX from GE Healthcare where he served as the Global General Manager of their Information Technology business. Mr. Mahoney spent 13 years at GE Healthcare in a variety of advancing leadership roles for domestic and global businesses in CT, MR, X-Ray and Nuclear Medicine.
Mr. Mahoney is a graduate of the University of Iowa and holds an MBA from Wake Forest University in North Carolina.

As Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer for the DePuy Franchise, Pete Batesko provides financial leadership for DePuy’s orthopaedic, spine, trauma, neurosurgery and sports medicine businesses globally.
Since joining the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies in 1981, Mr. Batesko has held several financial positions of increasing responsibility. Most recently, he was Vice President, Finance for Ortho Biotech Products, L.P., supporting leading global product asset through marketing and sales activities in its Oncology, Nephrology and Surgery Franchises.
Mr. Batesko received his B.S. in Accountancy from Villanova University. He has received continuing education in finance and business management through the Columbia University Graduate School of Business, Northwestern University J.L. Kellogg Graduate School and The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Batesko holds the titles of both Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant in New Jersey. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Institute of Certified Management Accountants and the New Jersey Society of CPAs. | | | Sarah Deegan Worldwide Vice President, Quality & Compliance, DePuy Franchise
As Worldwide Vice President, Quality & Compliance for the DePuy Franchise, Sarah Deegan has responsibility for DePuy’s overall quality strategy, while leading the development, implementation and maintenance of all Franchise quality processes and standards.
Since joining the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies in 1997, Ms. Deegan has held several worldwide senior leadership quality positions within the DePuy Franchise and Johnson & Johnson Orthopaedics. In her previous role, she was Worldwide Vice President, Quality Systems, for the DePuy Orthopaedics business and the DePuy Global Supply chain. She has been instrumental in establishing DePuy’s worldwide Quality strategic direction, while providing exceptional leadership in improving overall quality systems and processes. Under Ms. Deegan’s leadership, DePuy has a strong track record of successful regulatory inspections.
Prior to joining the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, Ms. Deegan gained progressive technical and managerial experience in quality assurance and regulatory compliance at Medtronic and Pfizer.

Gary Fischetti became President of DePuy Spine in September 2005. In this role, he leads a strategically critical business in a rapidly growing and highly competitive marketplace.
Mr. Fischetti joined the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies in 1983 and served in roles with increasing responsibility in Finance, Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Business Development, and General Management within the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies including Corporate Headquarters, Johnson & Johnson Orthopaedics, and DePuy Orthopaedics.
In 2001, Mr. Fischetti joined Ethicon Products as Vice President, US Sales and Marketing. In this role, Ethicon reached an all time high market share position in sutures and regained growth and considerable market share in the hernia repair device segment. In addition, he made substantial contributions to the rapidly growing Biosurgicals segment, including the acquisition of Closure Medical Corporation. After serving as integration manager for Closure Medical, Mr. Fischetti was promoted to the position of Worldwide Vice President, New Business Development and General Manager of Closure Medical Corporation and served as a member of the Ethicon Franchise Global Management Board until his current role as President, DePuy Spine.

David Floyd became President of DePuy Orthopaedics in September 2007.
Mr. Floyd joined DePuy Orthopaedics from Abbott Spine where he served as President of the worldwide Spine business. As President of Abbott Spine, Mr. Floyd led the revitalization of the business through the development and execution of new strategic approaches, including next generation technologies that are less invasive. Prior to joining Abbott in 2005, Mr. Floyd was President and Chief Executive Officer of AxioMed, a venture-funded business focused on the development of next generation artificial disc replacement implants.
In addition to his experience in the spinal segment of orthopaedics, Mr. Floyd has a track record of more than 15 years of leadership success in the reconstructive joint market. Most notably, he held senior management roles at Centerpulse Orthopedics, including President of the U.S. business, prior to their acquisition by Zimmer.

As Vice President, Law for the DePuy Franchise, Mickey Kaufman serves as a member of the DePuy Global Management Board, providing legal advice and guidance to the DePuy Company Group Chairman and Worldwide Franchise leaders on key strategic franchise issues. He also handles special legal assignments for the DePuy Franchise.
Since joining the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies in 1979 as a patent attorney, Mr. Kaufman has had a versatile and successful career in legal and business positions, including, Asia-Pacific Regional Counsel, board attorney for McNeil Pharmaceutical, Vice President, Worldwide Licensing & Acquisitions for the Consumer Group and Vice President Worldwide Dermatology Development. Most recently Mr. Kaufman has served as Vice President, Law for the Worldwide Vision Care Franchise. | | | P. P. (Laxmin) Laxminarain was named Worldwide President, Codman & Shurtleff in April 2006. In this role, he is responsible for setting Codman's future strategic direction and for executing the growth initiatives required for expanding the company's market share within the global neurosurgical marketplace.
Since joining the marketing organization at Johnson & Johnson Medical in India in 1986, Mr. Laxminarain has been serving roles with increasing responsibility in commercial leadership and general management with broad geographic experience within Johnson & Johnson’s Medical Device companies. Prior to joining Codman, he was Vice President for Cardiovascular Technologies and Strategic Planning at Cordis Cardiology. He joined Cordis Cardiology from Johnson & Johnson Medical Korea, where he served as Managing Director, based in Seoul.

As Worldwide Vice President, Operations for the DePuy Franchise, Ed Mackey is responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of DePuy's Worldwide Operations, including manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, new technologies and health & safety. Mr. Mackey also leads DePuy in optimizing global operational efficiency while maintaining compliance excellence. The WW Operations group partners with DePuy R&D and commercial leadership in bringing new products and technologies to DePuy’s surgeon customers and patients.
Previously Mr. Mackey was WW Vice President of Manufacturing for DePuy. He joined the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies in 1995, progressing through positions of increasing management and leadership responsibility at Johnson & Johnson Professional, Inc. and DePuy Products, Inc., in engineering and operations. Prior to joining the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, Mr. Mackey held various operations leadership positions for Raytheon.

Kate McDaniel is Worldwide Vice President, Human Resources for the DePuy Franchise. In this capacity Ms. McDaniel has global responsibility for leading and directing the Human Resources strategies and priorities for the DePuy Franchise. She also serves as a member of the Johnson & Johnson Surgical Care Human Resources Council.
Ms. McDaniel returned to DePuy after most recently holding the position of Worldwide Vice President, Human Resources for Consumer Healthcare. While with the DePuy Franchise, she held the position of Vice President Human Resources, DePuy Spine, and was instrumental in the realignment of the organization structure, resulting in improved customer focus and business performance. Additionally, she established programs to strengthen employee engagement and communication.
Prior to joining the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies in September 2004 as Worldwide Director, Human Resources at Ethicon, Ms. McDaniel worked as Executive Vice President and Director of Human Resources at Fleet Credit Card Services and held senior human resources generalist and compensation positions at leading computer and financial services companies, including Affiliated Computer Services and J.P. Morgan.

As Vice President, Business Development for the DePuy Franchise, Thomas J. Oberhausen is responsible for the licensing and acquisition activities of the company. Mr. Oberhausen assumed this position in 1999. Mr. Oberhausen joined DePuy, Inc. in 1992 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and held that role until DePuy was acquired by Johnson & Johnson in 1998. In this role he was responsible for worldwide corporate finance, reporting, treasury, tax, investor relations and information systems. Prior to joining DePuy, Mr. Oberhausen held various financial positions with DePuy’s parent company, Boehringer Mannheim Corporation, and its affiliates. Prior to joining Boehringer in 1980, Mr. Oberhausen’s previous experience included accounting positions with Mayflower Corporation and Ernst & Ernst.
Mr. Oberhausen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Indiana University. Allan Ritchie leads the DePuy Orthopaedics Research & Development groups in creating the most innovative and competitive joint reconstructive product portfolio in the industry. This requires that the global demands of the business be met while at the same time ensuring responsiveness to our customers in varying geographic regions.
Dr. Ritchie has had a distinguished career in Product Development with the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies spanning over 20 years. Most recently, he held the position of Vice President, Global Product Development for DePuy Orthopaedics. Prior to that he held a dual role of Vice President, Global Knee Programs and Vice President of Research & Development for DePuy International. Dr. Ritchie has also held leadership positions at DePuy in Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Research and Hip Product Development.
Dr. Ritchie holds a BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Glasgow, a PhD in Bioengineering from the University of Strathclyde and an MBA from London Business School. | | | Richard Twomey President, DePuy Orthopaedics International, DePuy Orthopaedics International
As President, DePuy Orthopaedics International, Richard Twomey leads DePuy’s Leeds-based organization and business with responsibility for DePuy Orthopaedics’ direct businesses in Europe, including the United Kingdom, France and Germany, as well as the CMW Laboratories business. He also has responsibility for providing strategic direction for DePuy Orthopaedics’ business within the EMEA and ASPAC umbrella companies.
In his previous role, Mr. Twomey led the CMW Laboratories business as Managing Director. At CMW, he built a growing and sustainable business that led to the global growth of DePuy’s CMW cement business, further benefiting the growth of DePuy’s core orthopaedics joint reconstruction business. Before that, he was the Marketing Director for the DePuy International Trauma & Extremities business, having joined the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies in this capacity in January of 1997.
Prior to joining the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies and DePuy, Mr. Twomey gained significant technical and leadership experience in the orthopaedics industry through sales and marketing positions of increasing complexity and scope within the orthopaedics implantation business with Biomet and Howmedica over a period spanning nearly 12 years.

Luc Vangerven is International Vice President, L&A and Business Development. He has responsibility for accelerating the performance and driving long-term growth and overall success of the DePuy Franchise in Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific (ASPAC) through strategic Licensing & Acquisition investments.
This includes the development of DePuy market appropriate strategies, business models, products and acquisitions, with a focus on Emerging Markets and strategically important countries. Franchise Operations and Business Functions will be developed to drive engineering capabilities in these markets.
Mr. Vangerven brings a wealth of leadership and business experience gained at Johnson & Johnson and other global companies. Most recently, he was President of DePuy International.
Prior to joining the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies in 2001 as Managing Director for the MD&D Umbrella Company in the Benelux, Mr. Vangerven held the position of Chief Financial Officer for Agfa North America, as well as sales, marketing, finance and general management positions at Bayer.

As General Manager of DePuy's Trauma and Extremities business worldwide, Gordon Van Ummersen has responsibility for the Trauma and Extremities business globally, including all marketing, R&D and management functions. Additionally, he has responsibility for the Professional Services function in the US, which includes Professional Education, Sales Training, Meetings and Events, and Customer Service.
Prior to this role, Mr. Van Ummersen was Vice President of Marketing for DePuy Orthopaedics, and directed all product and promotional strategies for DePuy's reconstructive products in the US.
Mr. Van Ummersen joined DePuy from Stryker Orthopaedics where he enjoyed a career of outstanding success. In May 1992, he joined Howmedica, as Institutional Sales Manager. He quickly progressed to Director of Corporate Accounts and then, after the purchase of Howmedica by Stryker in late 1998, became Vice President and General Manager for Stryker's US trauma business, a position that he held until joining DePuy in 2003.

Ian Lawson was named to the position of Worldwide President, DePuy Mitek, in March 2008.
Over his 19-year career with Johnson & Johnson, Mr. Lawson has distinguished himself in a variety of roles and business. Prior to joining DePuy, he was Vice President, US Marketing, and a member of the US Management Board for Ethicon Endo-Surgery. He joined Ethicon Endo-Surgery in 2004 as Vice President, Worldwide Marketing Development, Bariatrics, which included leadership of the Switzerland-based Obtech operations unit.
Mr. Lawson held a number of commercial P&L leadership positions for Johnson & Johnson Medical Products Canada from 1996 to 2004, including Vice President, Strategic Affairs; General Manager, Ethicon Surgical Intervention Products; Executive Business Director, Eastern Canada (which included responsibility for the DePuy businesses); and Business Director, Atlantic Canada. He began his career in 1989 at Johnson & Johnson Medical Products Canada as a Sales Representative for Ethicon, followed by positions of increasing responsibility in product management and regional sales management.
